Makin' BaNaNa Pancakes...

Good Morning to you!
We have been so busy packing...
there is nothing like having a big wholesome
breakfast to keep ya going till lunch at least!

We made whole wheat
BaNaNa PaNcAkEs !
MMM MMMM Good!
Singing to Makin' Banana Pancakes

Make a batch of Whole wheat pancake batter,
add two brownish bananas, mix well, pour it on the griddle,
cut up some more bananas on the side or right on top and enjoy!
Sometimes we even add peanut butter on top!! Yum!

It's A Tradition.....

This weekend we went ice skating with our friends...

This has become a tradition in the Winter to go as a group.

Then afterward get late night donuts and coco.

And...
that is just what we did.

Freckles thought it was quite the thrill just to
be out that late with her friends eating donuts of all things!

This Donut shop was truly amazing.
The pictures don't even begin to tell you how
ginormous these donuts and muffins were.
They were huge and they were delicious.

They were so good that we wanted to share

some with YOU too!!

We even got you some hot coco!

Cooking Memories

We are in the middle of packing up the cook books
and had to take a quick break and go through
the recipes I had in my recipe book.
There were a lot I really didn't need any longer and
some that Miss Freckles really wanted for her
special Recipe book we got before Christmas.

We found this really fun Susan Branch recipe scrapbook!
Perfect for filling up memories for her future kitchen.
I told her to go through all my recipes to
see what she wanted to add to hers.
This was so worth the break from packing.
Just to see her face light up.
She went through every single recipe I had
and picked out a WHOLE BUNCH for herself.

It was the funnest we had. Is that a word...

cause if it isn't...
it should be!

There were some she wanted that I had to write
on cards for her since I needed them too!

What a day it was going through our recipe memories together.
This has made a new memory we will never forget.
In a few years we are starting her hope chest.
Now that will be fun!

Since my last post, the rain quickly stormed in.
As of yesterday, we have been under many inches of pouring rain.
This won't stop me though.
Hello!!!
I am originally a Washintonian!
I can handle rain.

We have been busy, busy packing up the rooms
for our big move in a couple weeks.
But, I ran out of boxes!
I am also trying to fit in some work.
I have a special doll order and a Valentines Swap to do!

Sunny Blue Skies

Ah!!! Southern California is having a very mild Winter.
This is outside my window.
Sunny, blue skies and beautiful.
Yet, I heard we are supposed to be getting some stormy weather.

It is hard to believe that it is Winter when you have sights such as this.
And there are trees already in bloom.

We are actually enjoying it though, since we had such a HOT Summer.
I spent some time in the kitchen this weekend...packing.

Yup!!! We are moving again!

I can't wait! We are so excited to move to this new area.
I will be popping in as much as I can.
I have two weeks before the big day, so keep us in prayer.

But, for now,
We are off to enjoy these little pies!

A Sweet Peek

I just finished working on this new doll for Valentines!
With the love of old china doll heads I designed
this dolly to be completely soft!

I couldn't resist getting this darling Valentine fabric....
The colors are happy ones.

I will be working on a couple more dolly's this week
before I put them in my shop!

Her Patchwork Ganny Gann

Miss Freckles received this special
afghan for Christmas,
(affectionately called Ganny Gann)
from her Great Grandma.

Her Great Grandma knows what a spunky, happy girl she is,
so made this very colorful patchwork
ganny to match her personality.

She has been carrying it and cuddling
in it around the house ever since.
Great Grandma said that this may be
the last of the afghans she makes.
She made all of us afghans, plus several
others for family members.

Maybe she feels she is tiring out.
We are blessed to have them,
made by her hands and stitched with lots of love intended.

It will serve as a comfort to my
little girl ...

And, share with her sweet dreams
for many years to come.
